Jon Otto Fossum is a physicist with long-standing experience in soft and complex matter research, including layered materials and clay-based systems, with recent focus on natural and earth-abundant materials for quantum-relevant photonic and sensing platforms. His work includes peer-reviewed publications, doctoral and postdoctoral supervision, and coordination of national and international research projects. He has delivered invited lectures at universities and scientific conferences worldwide, has held international visiting and guest researcher positions, and has organised international symposia and scientific workshops.
